CHANDERKHANI PASS TREK

Passes have always had mysteries and stories about them . Chanderkhani is one such enchanting and beautiful pass, at an elevation of 3600 mts. The trek goes through dense forest, green and alpine meadows. Once across the pass you descend into the secluded town of Malana.

Day 1

Naggar
Yo can stay overnight at Kullu or Manali. The starting point of the trek is Naggar, which is 00 kms from Kullu. There is a lot to see in Naggar, like the nagar castle, Roiriech art gallery, and the Tripurasundari temple.
Day 2.

Naggar To Chiklani
Start the trek from Nagar. There is a steep ascent for some time. Then you reach a village named Rumsu. (2135 mtrs). From the village , another 4 hrs walk takes us to Chiklani (2378 mtrs) .The trek is mostly through forests. . Camp here for the night.
Day 3.

Chiklani to Nagruni(3000 mtrs)
Its a short and gradual climb towards the pass from Chiklani. Once on the top of the pass, you have a magnificent view of the high mountains covered with snow. You can have an enchanting view of the Pir panjal mountains, the expedition peak of Deo tibba, and the mountain range that rises from the parvati valley . Nagruni is a campsite surrounded by forests.

Day 4.

Nagruni to Malana(2652 mtrs)
There is a short climb up to the village. Manala was once a world in itself. It has a totally different dialect from rest of the kullu valley. The people are fair skinned and light eyed. They have entirely different cultural , social, and religious traditions and practices. There is a Camping site outside the village.
Day 5.

Malana to Jari, and Manali.
There is about 45 minutes descend to a place named Jari. From here you board into jeeps for your journey back to Manali or Kullu. Overnight stay in a hotel.
